Knowlton Mansion The Knowlton Mansion was built by William Rhawn, a Philadelphia banker, in 1881. It was designed by the prominent Philadelphian Victorian architect, Frank Furness, on a 13-acre country estate. In 1996, Conroy Catering purchased and renovated the estate, adding an 8500 square foot conservatory for use as a ballroom and banquet facility.
